From the Rez to the Rink is a motivational keynote that shares my journey from growing up on Sturgeon Lake First Nation to playing junior hockey, overcoming addiction and personal adversity, and building Smudge The Blades, Canada’s first Indigenous hockey apparel brand. Through authentic storytelling, humour, and lived experience, I inspire audiences to embrace their identity, overcome obstacles, and recognize that their background does not define their future. The keynote explores themes of resilience, leadership, mental wellness, entrepreneurship, and Indigenous pride, leaving attendees with practical lessons and a renewed sense of purpose.
